Terms of Service

The rules for using StretchCode.

These Terms of Service govern your use of StretchCode, an online software-development learning platform operated by StretchGroup Technologies Inc. at stretchcode.ca. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use StretchCode.

1. The service

StretchCode provides courses, career paths, quizzes, and verified certificates. Beginner courses are free. StretchCode Pro is a paid membership that unlocks intermediate and advanced courses, career paths, and verified certificates.

2. Accounts and security

You must be at least 13 years old to use StretchCode. You are responsible for the information in your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. You may sign in with email and password or with Google sign-in. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.

Do not share your account credentials or allow another person to use your paid access. Tell us through the contact page if you believe your account or sign-in details have been used without permission. Activity on your account may be used to protect the service and investigate security events.

3. Acceptable use

Use StretchCode for genuine learning and in a way that does not interfere with other learners or the service. You must not:

  • cheat or attempt to cheat the quiz system;
  • scrape the service or its content;
  • share paid access with another person; or
  • abuse, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the service or another learner's account.

We may take action, including restricting access, when use of the service violates these rules or puts the service, its content, or other learners at risk.

4. Membership and billing

StretchCode Pro costs CAD $19 per month or CAD $190 per year. It includes a 7-day free trial with no card, available once per person. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your dashboard through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Taxes are added where applicable.

Stripe processes payments, and StretchCode never sees or stores card numbers. Billing questions are reviewed case by case through the contact page.

5. Certificates

Certificates are issued by StretchCode as proof of course completion. They are not accredited degrees. A public verification page for a certificate shows the holder name, course, and serial.

6. Content and your submissions

StretchGroup Technologies Inc. owns the StretchCode course content and the rights in that content. We give you permission to access and use course content through the service for your own learning. Do not copy, scrape, redistribute, or make the course content available outside the service.

You keep your rights in submissions you make on StretchCode. You grant us a licence to host, store, display, process, and otherwise use those submissions as needed to operate and provide the service. This licence does not transfer ownership of your submissions to us.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep StretchCode available, but the service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, security work, technical issues, or other reasons. We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue features, courses, or other parts of the service. We may also update course content and learning paths.

8. Termination

You may stop using StretchCode and ask us to delete your account through the contact page. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms, misuse the service, or if action is needed to protect StretchCode, our providers, or other learners. When access ends, you must stop using the service and its content.

9. Disclaimers

StretchCode is provided for learning. We do not promise that the service or any course will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. Course completion and a StretchCode certificate do not guarantee a job, admission, credential recognition, or any other outcome.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StretchGroup Technologies Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, StretchCode. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province in which StretchGroup Technologies Inc. is registered and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or its rules change. We will post the updated terms on this page with a new update date. Your continued use of StretchCode after an update means you accept the updated terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through stretchcode.ca/contact.
